Carbon Fiber side view mirrors
Hi,
I am just wondering is it possible to order an OEM carbon fiber side view mirrors and diffuser through the dealer in the US? Because I know that carbon fiber packages are only EU vin compatibility. Has anyone ever done this yet?

Not too sure if you can order from dealer (not from the US).

bro, i want to ask about the carbon fiber diffuser since I know you have one on your car. Are the fins on the diffusser longer than the plastic ones? or is it exactly the same, but only in carbon.

that's cool, a member said they had a good experience with them so I might try out the CF mirror covers and bulbs..........or should I get the whole mirror??

they are the same but look a bit bigger because of glossy reflection.
it also has a fog light in the middle

I figure that's their response. Last Nov I asked a local MB dealer about possibly ordering an oem LSD and install it in place of the regular diff. They also said no. But of course that local dealer is quite shady from what I have found out.

Be aware of stolen side view mirrors. I just read the thread about stolen rims from Houston area on the C63 side and someone mentioned stolen side view mirrors.

And in one of the last few posts, someone mentioned the CF deck spoiler got stolen. Heck, after all this stuff I have heard, I would never get any CF exterior parts.

Way too ricey and cheap for these cars. Before we broke down and had a JDM company make turn signal housings for our GS's a couple guys ran similar covers to these. It through the lines off of the car, whistled on the freeway, and just was not good news. I believe they all ended up removing them before long.

Not bad looking in the pix but not sure how they will look in person. I have a feeling they will rattle and shake and might even get blown off at high speed. In addition, I sure don't want someone mistaken it and rip my entire mirror housing off while trying to steal them...

Just to add to this thread. Here is a few pictures of the $89.00 CF covers from Ebay. They actually don't look bad and fit pretty nicely. They are held with double sided tape. This was done solely to provide greater information for this forum. I am not that cheap and plan to order the real things.
