More often with all season tires is this the case

Obviously with directional tires you shouldn't have the tread go backwards.

Bottom line is not to swap the tire side to side with taking the wheel out, but I suppose in directional tires you can do that..

Maybe Luke from tire rack can chime in
I asked my regional manager at Discount Tires and he said you can do the swap on some non directional tires but Invos and Bridgestones RE's (that come on the GTR) are no bueno. He thinks PS2's might be ok but when you take the wear from an inner and move it to the outer you change the dynamics of the car when moving and you will get negative feedback at higher speeds.

i drive them all, fast and hard
If the tire is made for that you shouldn't. It's probably the best way to keep even wear on the whole tire
