GUYS- what is this?

I was looking through some photos of the new CLS and I was just curious about this little red....thingy on the bottom of the diffuser.

Is it a reflector or a brake light...? what is it?

And also, what is the color of this car?

Steel grey. I think there are more pictures of it in the sticky picture thread.

That's the standard diffuser for some markets (Middle East / Europe, possible elsewhere too). I'm actually trying to figure out how to get my hands on one because I think it looks significantly better than ours.

With a lot of these parts, once you have the part number, it's as easy as calling in an order to your local dealer. The issue is that (usually) to find that number, you need a VIN from a vehicle that has the part you're interested in.

Haha - my understanding is that Euro specs require a reflector down there, whereas US regs do not (but we do have to have those damn yellow / orange reflectors up front!)

UGHHh yes.... those hideous things.... I would have expected MB to place them in a nice spot and make them look cool. But they obviously did not care and slapped them on wherever they could...

Glad I plasti-dipped mine, it changed the look of the car... especially since mine is black and that orange stuck out like an ugly pimple.
