My CLS is being "improved" with some Renntech goodies by the folks at At Speed Motorsports in Columbia, MD. They are installing Renntech's R1 package (ECU tune, plus intercooler updates), a 100% LSD (the stock LSD is for sale), Renntech/kW lowering kit, downpipes (with sport cats), PAssport 9500 ci with Mid-City Engineering display interface, HRE wheels and PS2 tires. Below is a link to their build blog.

Should wake it up a bit.

Promising to say the least! I'm interested in your door pins...were they hard to change on the rear doors? BTW, you need to update your profile to include you new beast.

Just picked it up. Wow! I had been driving a Kleeman modified C63 and frankly, I thought that the CLS was a little dull (even with the PP). Jesus Harold Christ is this a different car with the Renntech mods. It is so much crisper on every level. It even sounds like a baritone 6.3 NA motor with a little turbo whine. But it is a deeper sound than the C63, somewhere in between my 427 Cobra and the C63. 60 is hit from 0 as soon as you look down at the speedo. 125 feels like 65. It is deceptively fast. It feels smooth but "ballsy" at the same time. The only thing lacking is C63 or C63 BS seats.

Many thanks to Pete and Bob at At Speed Motorsports in Hanover, MD and George and Hartmut at Renntech.

Nice to hear of more MD people on the forum... Car looks GREAT and sounds like a heck of a setup! Let us know how it is with a few more miles on it.

Did you get a catback exhaust? If you didn't I have one for sale. I'm in Columbia also so you could come take a listen if you want. Let me know if interested. Thanks Ron
