Photoshoot with Wheel Set #2

I'm on the fence with these...not sure if I'm going to keep or get refinished. All thoughts (no matter how harsh) are welcome! Pics by Alex Stone, wheels made by the H to the R to the E and I bought these from Wheel Enhancement up in Culver City. John and Dave are the owners of Wheel Enhancement and are fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone in the LA area.

I think satin/gloss charcoal is the perfect finish for the P40SC

I think they look fookin' great Pertplus, you can see the design of the mesh much easier......my eyes don't have to work so hard to make out the pattern as when the black ones were on........that's what I think

I am shocked at all of you...especially you Hyperion! I was totally sure these wheels were going to get ripped apart on here. I'm still on the fence, but I guess that's the beauty of having more than one set (and being so geographically close to HRE - can always get them easily refinished)... But glad to hear that people at digging them. Maybe they'll grow on me!

they do look fresh man, like I said, being able to make the spoke pattern more visable is really nice for those wheels because they look so good on our cars(thanx Vic).....I was just out looking at my extra's trying to figure out if I want to change 'em, but all I have are some stocks and some Vossen cv1's hehe, thanx for the bugmaybe I need to consider another wheel for my car

I'd wonder if they look nice in motion tooyour wheels, hint....
That is a nice thing to be so close to your favorite wheel store......
what is your feeling on the whole rivet look? I personally don't like the look, or the thought of trying to keep them clean

I guess I will be the only who thinks the black are better.
Don't get me wrong, those new ones look great but it brings another color to the entire car and I really loved the black and white contrast.
I do agree with the comments that the gold allows for a better definition of the wheel but it is not my top pick.

No I agree with you that I like the black ones better, although these are growing on me.

Reminds me of Subaru WRX and similar Japanese import scene. It's good to be different.

Just curious. If you live in sd then y not just get them straight from vista, rather than go to la to get them

Also. Put one set of wheels on one side and the other on the opposite side. That would be cool

Because pricing is better when you go through a major distributor like Wheel Enhancement than directly from HRE. Also, I'm from Los Angeles and my family lives up there.

I like the gold but the novelty will wear out and I think you will feel the same way. Also is the black set more aggressive in the rear? I appears these might not be as wide or have a different offset?

Remember everyone here who likes them (including me) doesnt own the car. You see them every single day- and the black fits the lines of the car better and lines up with your accessories (carbon fiber pieces, black badges, etc)

I agree with your observations. As far as the wheel measurements, they are identical...it may just be the angles of the pictures. Also, the car was photographed soon after Alex would move the car, and so the airmatic which raises the car upon ignition may have not had a chance to lower it that quickly after he shut it off.

Oh ok cool, I thought your gold ones were 20x10.5 from a post prior.

Nope, the bronze ones were 10.5...basically for this setup, I said "I want the same setup that Vic had on his CLS63 with the P40SCs"...and while my car will never look as mean as yours did, I really notice the extra concavity and aggressiveness that I was able to achieve with this stance.
