Yes, those grips are thicker than the stock one. Feels nicer to have those thicker grip.

Thank you. I agree -- red may seem too much from that picture, but it is not actually; just subtle add to the interior (plus you can take the red outline on the trim off later on).

Looks great! Can you give us a few more details like what you plastidiped and what you had wrapped in vinyl? Also, who did you red accents on your wheel and mats?

Thanks!

My 07 W221 is debadged and it has the 2011-2012 S63 facelift conversion kit on it and people are always wondering what year and model it is.

Well some of us enjoy the way a car drives more than it looks LOL... Dont be a hater cause people go to the Roundel. Its the better driving car than the CLS but not looking.

Even you drive your RS5 more than your CLS in the summer for that very reason.

I basically used this – then I just follow along the line of the trim very carefully to make sure it’s straight; giving about 2mm gap before the bottom of the trim.

Thank you. I was thinking of hardwiring the V1 into the rear mirrors -- but I thought it would be easier for me if it is not hardwired, I can just move it from one car to another

I'm personally not a fan of debadging a car. I did once and I didn't like how people are trying to race and just do stupid things (even when you have your badge on). Maybe I just plasti dip the rear emblem.

Thank you I will never trade it in for a M5. M5 just don't do it for me -- too plain IMO, although M5 drives better than the CLS.

I plastidipped only the MBstar on the front grille, the rest of the chrome trim are wrapped in satin black vinyl made my trimbrite -- factory cut to about 4cm wide and maybe 3 meters long? I bought 3 rolls of the vinyl which cost about $20. Took me about 2 hours or so to do the whole chrome trim of the car.

Thanks Vic!

I totally agree with you. I think the CLS does it for me since I like combination of both looks and performance; I drive it hard almost everyday when I get the chance to and I just love it.

The m5 is nice. No doubt. But it looks a lot bigger than it should. Almost 7 series like. Such a fat pig. LOL

Yeah definitely not as nice as a borrowed old Maserati. And any time I hear about someone "debadging" a Jetta...well, who takes the time to debadge a Jetta?

Its usually some girl embarrased to be in a Jetta... I dont know what a man would do in a Jetta besides commit suicide.

I knew a dude with a Jetta that had the license plate "Vajetta". I offered to drive it off a cliff for him, and include his John Mayer cds in the destruction for free.
