My opinion matters Hyp, thus his statement. I have helped him with alot of different matters.

Car's intergrity? LOL maybe if he keeps the car for 20 years haaaaaaa

Oh riddle me this batman- on my SL when at speeds over 30 mph my ABC runs the car at the lowest setting (meaning the car is sitting very low at such speeds) but when I come to a slow down or the stop the height goes back up to mid point (I have a meter that shows it on Comand). This was all during stock settings so all my tech did was lower my car to be always at the 30 mph height. Do you really think the car is exposed structurally since it rides at this height anyways? No it isnt but I get why Ray was gonna lower and then cant- road surface is out of his control no doubt.

Not all, I just wanted to show you that lowering a car is not all about form- there is function when one lowers the car correctly and dials in the right alignment.

I understand you wont lower your car - the days of our comments are now old- that ship has sailed. But you should see my SL wiht the drop!!!!!!!!!

Perfect height set up. Even better since you did not have to take out parts and just adjust it with the computer.

Is this the same as in the CLS, Vic? Cause sometimes I see my rear sitting higher after driving and sometimes it sits low (which I wanted it to be). Should it be readjusted? Thoughts?

Thanks!

**Sorry to jack the thread OP..

I might actually asked my friend to buy your KWs.. He just got an E63 picking it up tomorrow.

PM'd with offer

I had the same issues with the CLS and the E63 wagon; the airmatic is temperamental and spits out air when parked thus lowering it. As for the drive height changing on either of the cars over 30 mph, I couldnt tell since there was not meter a in Comand to show me. ABC is so solid compared to airmatic and I love that it doesnt adjust when parked- its now at a fixed height = lower!!!! I even got this special order AMG performance suspsension (1500 msrp) which goes above and beyond the stock SL63 suspension with firmer dampeners and a retuned ABC ecu for even less body roll and compression/rebound.

To the OP, do you know if this will fit the 4matic? I read somewhere that this kit does not fit the front of the new cars.

Thanks,

BTW Vic, your car looks PERFECT!! Are you tuning it?

I read here that it wont fit AWD cars as the shocks are bigger... I think you can go with H&R. But check the posts to confirm.

Thanks ced357- its got a conservative tune by OE that pulled 570hp and 661tq on a dynodynamics. I did it with 147 miles on the car LOL. It pulls very very very nicely. Of course the lower weight doesnt hurt along with ligher weight parts. I remember when I opened the trunk I was like WTF!!!!!!!

yep carbon fiber--- the car weighs in right at 4000 lbs.

Is there a way to make it at a fixed height?

On the airmatic new cars with springs up front IDK. My height remained relatively stable when parked but once in a while I would hear the car "fart" or emit air from the airmatic system in the rear causing it to lower. Who knows?

HOLY S#!T, CF trunk I had no idea they did this, I wish it were an option on all AMG's. Very impressive.
