2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG w/ ADV05.1 & RENNtech Upgrades

The CLS 63 AMG is an impressive car straight from the factory. Luxury, comfort, and power inside a beautifully designed body. Here at GMP Performance we like to push perfection. Diving right into this project, we turned to RENNtech's ECU Upgrade for the biggest performance gains available on the market. It took the car from 556 HP / 550 lb-ft torque, to an astonishing 669 HP / 734 lb-ft at the crank. Tackling the 0-60 mph in a mere 3.2 seconds; and the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds. KW Suspension was added to keep the power to the ground. To keep things in the family a set of RENNtech downpipes were ordered for more HP gains as well as a menacing growl. To pass NC emissions we fabricated high flow cats into the downpipes. We went to ADV.1 Wheels for a set of ADV05.1 one-piece, forged, mid profile, 20 inch wheels. With 245x30x20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in the front and 295x25x20 in the back. To finish everything off, badges, grill pieces, emblems, wheels, and many more parts were sent off to be painted and color matched satin black, and a monster was born.

wow, didn't know you could get those numbers from an ECU alone, I think your car probably had 590 tq (not 550) if it had the PP, regardless 669/734, 3.2 to 60 and 10.9 qm is very impressive!

This car has been lowered for over a year. Lowering any car changes the suspension geometry, which will impact the alignment specs. We would really need a lot more details on your cars (suspension, tires, alignment specs, etc.) to properly make a recommendation, but there are some aftermarket rear camber arms available that can aid with the tire wear in the rear.

From the factory Mercedes (and most European brands) have a little negative camber in the rear. This aids in the handling of the car, but can wear the inside edge of the tire depending on where the alignment specs are.

Honestly, I could make a whole new thread on tire wear, but I am sure there is already a lot of information on the forum about it. Feel free to email us if you have any questions: adam@gmpperformance.com

This is an option from the dealer for the CLS63. However I'm fairly certain you can find a universal option somewhere.

To the best of my knowledge, that button is not OEM. OEM is only the regular silver one. A few places make the red CF start button such as MACarbon.
