Talking Back to the evil side...

Whats good!? BACK! Picked up a cls63 diamond white, 13,000 km (roughly 8077 miles) all options, no pp.

Anyone lowered on H&R 's the ride already seems stiff... don't want it stiffer. How much lower does it sit?

I lowered my former R8 and though I loved the look, I hated what it did to the ride. YRMV

Congrats. Only do KW coilovers if you are looking to have your kidneys rupture. I would assume that H&R springs are not much better at improving ride comfort.

LOL cool guys think and know according to tangible factual input. Anyways enough of the jokes, if you want to lower your car use the KW sleeve system. The rear is modded via links or the KW adapters (provided). Rock is assuming you have the PP car with stiffer shocks which you do not as you said so your ride will be slightly softer and more forgiving. Where I live the roads are excellent so I lowered my CLS and had the PP and didn't find the ride to harsh. I cared more about body roll in sharp turns and higher speed curves and the KW did the job tempering this adverse effect. The problem is the rear suspension, its far too mushy with airmatic but you cant change that unless you do complete airmatic removal. The KW are height adjustable too so you can play around with heights and comfort.

Congrats on the car.

Hey guys, pix soon just been so swamped. I cant believe how stiff it is stock! But god do I hate the stock ride height lol. Good to see the good guys are still around... Rock, Vic

Vic how you like the rs7 compared to the cls63? I test drove the m5 and s7 and did not like them... I just couldn't get over the audis interior...

KW will give you near perfect ride height but you will need spacers if you want an aggressive stance. Most go with 15mm rear and 10mm front. The addition of these items really makes a significant visual difference.

BTW, Vic has a flabby *** (natural shock absorber), so a stiff suspension has little impact on him.

I dropped my 14' with H&R's and the ride is not much worse than before the springs. It seems to have dropped the front by about an inch and the rears a little less. I do feel the car has less roll in the corners and I think it looks great.

Congrats on the new to you ride. Pics please.
I also lowered with KW. I have the PP and it does feel stiffer but I do not find it to be an issue as the FL roads are mostly perfect in my area. It does get a bit bumpy when I visit my friend CED357 on his coast

I had the KW sleeves and loved the look, just not the disconnect in ride between the front and back of the car. Would have been great if AMG ran steel springs at all corners as an option (like the RS7) and sleeves could have been thrn added on the back as well as the front.
