Hi everyone,
I’ve had my CLS for 5 months or so and love it.
Ive done a lot of mods as far as aesthetics go but nothing for performance.
i have never done modifications to a car for performance EVER so it’s very new to me and I truly appreciate your guidance.
Doing some brief research I see the Renntech R1 package looks decent as it cranks up the horsepower quite a lot and is relatively affordable.
i would love to hear input and recommendations from you veterans.
thanks in advance

Ben,
You have to start with a tune. Lots of options out there. I have the PP-Performance Tune and love the responsiveness and the increased torque.Originally Posted by lavcls63

Ben,
I also have a Weistec downpipe/exhaust sitting on the floor of my apartment waiting to be installed when I have time to drop my car off. I'll let you know what difference that makes.
Don't be afraid of mods. That's exactly why you buy a biturbo engine. And once you mod, you won't stop.

Thanks! Where did you get them from? Where would you recommend I start looking?

All depends on where you live. I had to go through a workshop in Sydney who shipped my ECU to another workshop in Melbourne who downloaded a PP-Performance tune for me as they're the authorised dealers in Australia. Took 1 week and car was out of action. Haven't regretted the tune for a moment! Last resort, you could take the ECU out yourself and send it by registered post to tons of tuners out there.Originally Posted by lavcls63
