This thread is a little late, since I have been posting already. I wanted to share my current build! I am very excited to be a Mercedes Benz owner and looking forward to finishing my build the way I vision her.
I purchased my W218 CLS63 P30 on July 27th after about 8 months of searching. It was either the CLS or the CL and it had to be black on black. I was finally alerted that this particular vehicle was in Southern California. After seeing the low mileage, options it came with, and price point I called the dealer immediately to have it shipped up to Northern California. I took over two weeks, but I finally took delivery of this beauty on July 27th!
I am located in the Bay Area and would love to meet with other car or motorcycle enthusiasts. I have always been passionate about cars and made a big jump from my 2007 Honda Accord which had the very "JDM" look with it being very low and slammed on some BBS LM's (which I still proudly own). I also ride a R1 on the weekends and enjoy a spirited cruise through the mountains.
Feel free to follow me on Instagram for the build.

*Current Mods:
-18% Tint all around with 70% windshield
-LED interior lights
-AMG door projector lights
-Tinted reverse lights
-Smoked sidemarkers
-Carbon fiber rear diffuser
-Evoklass suspension
-Chrome delete (window trim, door handles, rear trunk bar, front grill)
-UPD Spacer kit
So damn dope!!! Got mine, yesterday, and got her tinted today. I kept it legal as my wife will drive it from time to time. Definitely going with the chrome delete...at least around the side windows.
Do you have a shot where where we can see how the spacers flushed the wheels? Also...I’ll take em off your hands when the HRE’s arrive 😏

Looks great. And thanx for the help, yesterday!
Congrats to you. I'm not running spacers, you might have gotten that confused when I said "UPD spacer kit" which is really just the airbox/intake I was suggesting to you yesterday.
Looks damn hot man! Damn hot! Can't wait to see what wheels you picked out..........well done with the 305's too, make sure to post in the 305 and up club.......haven't had any action there in a while
Thanx for sharing the rad ride and congrats on a goal achieved!

Thank you! Excited to contribute to this forum. Wheels may still be 2-6 months out. We’ll see.
Hi Matt,
Nice work so far! I'm also organizing my build up here in Vancouver. I'm going to be in the Bay Area for 3 nights this Thursday. I'd love to meet and see your car. DM me on Instagram. Maybe we can arrange something.
Great to put a face to the name Matt. I myself am into motorcycles as well. Too bad we live so far apart otherwise we'd definitely hit the mountains together. Subscribed to this thread and I look forward to help you with your final decision on the fitment with the HRE's.

Awesome. What do you ride?
id love to hear any recommendations for fitment. What do you suggest?
remind me of myself, went from jdm honda to bmw e92 then to this AMG beast!
get the tune done next, it was by far the best mod ive ever purchased for this car, or actually the best mod i've ever purchased for any car period. really wakes the car up its crazy how AMG can make nearly 700hp feel so controlled and natural

Tune and downpies is next on the list and will probably wait until next year as I just spent some major bread on the new wheels.
I definitely do want them, and have for a while but after extensive research I'm honestly most likely gonna gut my oem cats or have my exhaust shop fabricate me some custom downpipes for way cheaper. its crazy because downpipes on any other car cost maybe a few hundred bucks but for these cars they are ridiculously overpriced for 2 pipes with 02 bungs in them. not to mention the same results can be achieved with gutted cats or straight pipes. This is just a personal decison im leaning towards not saying you have to go this route. If I do decide to buy downpipes I would get the turboback downpipes because ive heard they sound better and help increase the overall life of the turbos. some people claim there is additional power gain of the turboback vs the regular downpipes as well

You are definitely right. I was thinking about the MBH down pipes as they are turbo back

Not all of that down pipes offered for our vehicle are turbo back. Some are before the turbo which requires a lot more labor and not worth it in my opinion.

i thought the pipes before the turbo were called manifolds. im sure those are much more expensive and a helluva lot more work...
