Thank you for the info. After 1 week driving, doing all kind of crazy stuffs and still haven't heard a single noise! I enjoy the car, enjoy the brake even more. No dirt found at the wheels after 1 week. My 07 E63 at 100k miles still have original rotors, on second set of pads and still have 50% left. it's not CCB. I am confident that CCB will last longer than that.

Glad you are enjoying the car! I will say it again... mileage is NOT the determining factor for brake wear... it's how the car is driven. Brakes will last way longer on a car that's highway driven than in a car that's driven locally. And thanks for the first hand account on the longevity of your previous car's brakes. Cheers!

I'm still debating between keeping the ride height stock or lowering via H&R & rear adjustable links. It is almost 27'' high in the front. Is it worth $$$ and trouble just to lower .75''?
Got a quote around $750, includes alignment, before tax.

Labor and alignment around $400. Springs & links are around $350. Yes, $750 includes everything.

I can't speak for the "performance" gains of a "lowered center of gravity" for these hefty ladies. But, for me, just about every car looks better lowered. I went with KW HAS. The adjustability of the front came in handy once the springs settled. About a yr after initial install I realized there was a lil' discrepancy in fender gap and was able to adjust it myself. I also paid ~$400 for install and alignment. Worth every penny.

lastly, i added a rear diffuser but its just a CF version of the one that came with the car. the RT-style rear was a bit too boy-racer for me and obstructed the view of the exhaust tips when looking at the car from the side.

Here’s a pic of the drop on the H&R/links combo.
Is there any gap between the wheel & fender?

yes. About a finger plus worth. It looks like more in the front because I don’t have spacers.

Looks like the AMG tips on yours stick out a little bit longer than stock. But this is ok with the upgraded rear diffuser. With the stock one, it looks a bit too much.

the tips/mufflers arent touched with a resonator delete. the resonator section is under the front/middle of the car.

PS....these arent pics of my car.

Here are mine:

Does this look normal? They said they already pushed in all the way, as far as the hanger allows. They showed me and I confirmed that. The 2 hanger bars are in straight position. But I just don't understand why the the mufflers tips stick out a bit more than normal.

.

that DOES look like it may be extend a bit further than normal. if im not mistaken, those tips arent actually part of the muffler so they should be able to be adjusted forward or backwards. maybe have them look at that?

If anyone still have stock diffuser, please show me photo of the AMG tips. I'd like to compare with mine. I really appreciate your help!

I need a photo at that angle so I can show it to the shop. Photos I found on google were taken from far behind, hard to see. I can see that but the shop refuse to see that.

you may need to take it to a Mercedes shop. the tips are sold separately, which means that they should be able to be adjusted. would it help if i went to the garage and snapped a pic for you?

If you don't mine. It's a big help. Thank you so much. I'm bringing my car back to the muffler shop tomorow, they are the one who messed it up. I measured the resonator and the pipes they installed. The pipes are about 1/2'' longer than the resonator. I'm so pissed off.

it doesn’t really matter how long the resonator pipes are, as long as they didn’t move the rest of the exhaust. Again...it looks like the tips just need to be moved. But I will get some pics in a few

Thank you so much!!! I think they pushed back the rear portion of the exhaust because of the longer pipes. Before the job, mine looked just like yours. After the job done, I noticed that the tips look weird, stick out too much.

By the way, the sound is now awesome! I really like it.

The muffler shop agreed to redo the job. A whole lot better now. Thanks.
