Pic is for reference of the car
Anyways i have a oilfilter housing leak and the local mechanic was gona fix it but he claimed it wasnt possible without removing the engine and im curious if that is correct. He said the the plastic turbo cooler line was in the way of the last bolt and did not have the tools for removing the line without damaging it. The shop specializes in foreign cars but idk i am curious if anyone has fixed this oil leak on this car before, thanks!!

Beautiful color. No need to remove the engine to replace oil filter housing gasket. I did it myself. It's not easy but it's doable. How many mile on the car? While you are there, you should have the camshaft position sensors and solenoids replaced because the solenoid is right behind the oil filter housing and cannot be replace without removing it. That is the only one. The rest are easy. Oil leak on those sensors and solenoids are know issue for M157 engine.
