20's on my CLS55
Howdy guys...how is everyone doing? The weather has been great here in Houston lately so I finally got some good pics of my new wheels that I got about 1 1/2 weeks ago. In the mean time, since the weather has been so nice I got that itch for a convertible and traded in my sunset orange C6 for a black convertible C6. Anyhow...enjoy the pics...(the rear wheels on the 55 has a 5 inch lip if ya'll were wondering)

Thanks guys....I have really been enjoying my CLS55. The wheels really bring out the car IMO. I had a full detail at Bubbles and it is looking really wicked.
Here are some answers to some questions that I can remember.
I purchased the wheels from Progressive Autosports here in Houston. I have purchased most of my wheels from there in the past. The mainly deal with mercedes and many other highline vehicles. I have come to know the owner since then and he will point you in the right way. His name is Taza, the number is 281.893.1134. Tell him Scott sent ya.
He recently released his private custom line of wheels which I chose. Reasons are because the metal quality is better, easily customized, and if damaged, extremely more easy to repair. They also look good and you can save money. Yes, you can also have the centers or whatever painted to your desire. I was gonna go with black, but opted for chrome at the last minute.
Here are the dimensions 20x9 / 20x10.5 with 245-35-20 / 275-30-20
Happy Driving!

Great cars, both of them. Looks outstanding!
I'm not a huge fan of chrome though. I prefer the more conventional look of AMG or Lorinser rims.
THUMB UP, and have fun!

I'm not a big fan of chrome. I'm more of a polished aluminun guy myself.
But I have to say....when I look at your car...I mess my pants.
Damn I want a CLS 55!!!!!

Tex quick question.....
Like most guys, I love to examine photos and see where fellow Benz owners reside.....looking to the left of your home....the neighbohood is wonderful...what gives with the home on the right of your home...it seems different than all the others.....as if someone didn't wanna sell when they came through and developed.
If I have insulted in anyway, my apologies. Just curious. Your home, your cars....they are just incredible. Very nice.

Was just curious why Progressive Autosports did not put more tire on your CLS55. The wheel width could have taken 255/30 up front and 295/25 in the rear and there is enough fender well on the CLS to handle the larger size tires. BTW, nice looking wheels.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I just love driving my 55 around. The other day I floored it when the green light came up for the hell of it and it put a big grin on my face. I love the way the engine and exhaust sounds.
Now some answers to previous Q's. The house on the right is just a temporary sales office. My section is very new and I was only the 2nd person to build. When most of the lots get sold then they will sell the sales office lot to build. You are right, it does look way out of place since the minimum square footage for the houses here start at 4,500 s.foot.
As to why progressive did not put larger tires on....I dont know why??? I never researched what the maximum width, etc...now you have me wondering...
Hey guys, do you think the 55's need to be lowered anymore? Has anyone here done it yet? I might consider it.....
BTW, I am having my garage floor redone this weekend. I am having my builder install red and black commercial grade vinyl in a checker design. I'll post pics asap.
Happy driving Y'all!
