i ordered my car from the dealer and it was built on the 4th of this month, loaded and with the colors i want, but during the time i was waiting to know what was going on with my car, i called other dealers and told them to keep me informed. i have been with my dealer since 87 and average 1 highend car a year since, from the SEC to the CLS but now that i know whats going on with my car and that it should be here by the end of the mo. , a local dealer sent me an email of a black on black availabe, not loaded, but he was just telling me that it was available for purchase. just a heads up guys

I was speaking with my salesman there today about that blk on blk CLS55 on the floor and he said they want, get ready for this..... $35,000 over sticker!!!!!!!

Holy ***** is that a rape job of the century in the making or what?!? I ordered a CLS55 from them at sticker. What the heck is going on here?

 

They're just trying to make money off the people who jump on the latest, greatest thing once the car has come out. A Benz enthusiast who plans ahead (my deposit went down in July 2004) or is willing to wait until the rush is over won't have to pay these premiums. When the E55 came out the dealers wanted $5-10K over. Now MSRP is the highest you will have to pay. You just have to wait.

 

Went there today and snapped some pics. Here's a pic of the CLS55 they have at MB of South Orlando. In person this car looked simply incredible. After seeing this car in person it made me change my order from silver to black!! It just sucks that I have to wait til the end of the year for it to come in.. How in the world do you cope with the wait??

 

MB in nyc has one and they are not allowed to put a premium on it, due to the fack that they are owned by mbusa

 

xenons are stock on the 55 not an option

 

Yeah. I stopped in at MB of South Orlando today to take a look. I also noticed the "True Market Value" of $35k. My sales guy said if I wanted it I could have it at MSRP, since I have a 500 on order.

I don't know if I should feel special about buying it at MSRP, at least I'm not getting bent over for an extra $35k. I’m stopping back tomorrow to sign my financing papers for my 500 that should be in next week. I think I’ll have him run the numbers on the 55 for laughs.

 

MB of South Orlando has an E55 inside with a $5k "True Market Value" sticker. There goes that theory ....

 

So why, when I go to MBUSA and build my own I get this for an option:

Is this a different Bi-Xenon option?

 

no 0-60 was incorrect, the cls 55, e55, slk 55, c 55, and clk 55 dont have xenon lights as standard equipment. The only way to get them from the factory is to get the lighting package. You can go the mbusa website, check specifications, exterior features, it clearly states the standard lights are halogens. Kind of crazy that a $60k,$70K,$80k,$90k car don't come with xenon lights and navigation as standard equipment when a $30k acura comes with both as standard equipment. The previous model e55 and clk 55 had the xenon lights as standard equipment, not sure about the slk 32 and c32.

 

i know that u can't get the active curve lights on the car due to the amg front bumper, this is what i was told when i placed my order

 

when i go to my dealer and tell him i want the CLS 55 AMG, he probably even give me discount. I don't grudge You all these situations with overpriced cars... it's sick. [i should say that whole US market is getting sick but i really don't want to offence You and receive ban :p ]

dude, u cannot get the active turning fogs with the AMG package, be it CLS55 or CLS500, the fogs are different. theres fine print in the brochure. i think they need to update the verbiage on the site with this detail. u can get the ligting package, but with AMG bumper, no turning fogs.

 

Is that car black, or metallic? I can't tell from the pictures. If it's metallic, I may have just found a weiner in my quest to find one of these. I don't care about "market adjustments" -- I'll call my broker and he'll get them down to MSRP or lower. Most dealerships will take it. The markup is more or less for suckers and to scare away people who aren't serious.

 

Maybe this is only in regards to the FOGLIGHTS, but not the main headlights. This might be the difference.

 

wow, that much for msrp! i paid stick for mine.. $94k... it all depends on your dealer, if your with them for a long time they wont put premiums (i assume_).
