As usual, MBUSA has no idea what they are talking about.

It'll have a lot more stuff: https://mbworld.org/forums/c219/119755-final-content-030-performance-package.html

· AMG sport steering wheel with Alcantara insets and thicker rim
· 186 mph (300 km/h) top speed (electronically limited)
· Special AMG suspension system (revised control arms and stabilizers)
· AMG "Compound" braking system
o AMG Compound front brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated 15.0"
two-piece discs with AMG 8-piston calipers
o AMG rear brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated 13.0" two-piece
discs with AMG 4-piston calipers
· AMG 19 inch twin-spoke multipiece alloy wheels with high performance
tires
o Front: 8.5 x 19 inch 255 35 ZR 19
o Rear: 9.5 x 19 inch 285 30 ZR 19
· AMG limited slip differential

here's what you get when you click on "details" next to the package:

2006 Packages
030 AMG Performance Package
Giant brakes with two-piece compound rotors and multipiston calipers have been proven on the Formula One racetrack. The largest AMG tires available for use on the street stylishly enhance performance while showing off the massive brakes. The sport steering wheel is trimmed in high-grip Alcantara, helping you wield the car's power with panache.

Why wouldn't thet at least mention all the other things?

Very nice wheels.

Well, MBUSA has a lot of misinformation. When I did some brake research, I found that a lot of times when they mentioned 13.6" rotors, and compared it with the part numbers of other cars, they were in reality much larger, or much smaller.

They are crazy. I remember when they were showing off the 2003 C32, it was the exact same photo as the 2002 C32... just photoshopped onto a different background.

Just for giggles I checked out all the other models. This is what I've found so far.

2006 SLK55:

030 AMG Performance Package details $6,800

· 18" AMG Two-Piece Alloy Wheels
· AMG Alcantara Sport Steering Wheel
· AMG Sport Suspension With Nurburgring Calibration

2006 Packages
030 AMG Performance Package
Upgraded wheels and brakes have been proven on the Formula One racetrack. The AMG sport suspension's Nuerburgring calibration with higher damping rates and firmer front springs is inspired by the world's most revered racetrack. Carbon fiber dresses the ****pit while high-grip Alcantara wraps the steering wheel.

Not trying to stir crap up...although thats what I like to do, but why wouldn't they mention the differential for the CLS55 like they do on the info for the SL55? I guess we will just have to wait and see.

They don't even mention the higher top-speed, but Mercedes already published a brochure about the package showing this feature....

Save $4500 and get the Kleemann Stage 1 mod as I did and bring your rwhp to 464 and 535 ft/lbs of torque. I promise you'll enjoy that more than the new brakes and wheels.

Correct, but the 030 Performance package also includes a revised suspension, larger brakes, LSD, 19" rims, rear body mods, and higher top-speed.

Just get em both and call it a day. You get the best of both worlds. That is exactly what I'm doing. And lets not forget the cooling mod while we're at it

Talk about a killer ride!!!

but it doesn't list any of that on MBUSA
Of course I know they can be wrong....just wondering why they don't list ALL the options.

MBUSA is always screwed up, they never have their facts straight. Just look at how much false information is on the website versus the literature you can get at your dealer or from NetStar.

The ordering guide that my dealer faxed me today confirms that all the goodies are there...

LSD, body mods for larger rear tires (wonder how big?), alcantara wheel, 186 top end, AMG 19" 2 piece wheels, compound brakes, and the special AMG suspension system. It also says there are images available from the Print DOG (whatever that is?)

I found something new (I guess):

FINALLY, Mercedes managed to post the guide about the 030-package on their website (I guess that's new, haven't seen it yesterday!).

If you visit the website about the CLS55, you see a new link about the package. This is where the link leads to:

AMG Performance Package CLS55

Still doesn't show all the goodies, but better than nothing...

What about the revised bodywork? Is it real or pie in the sky? I don't see anything on there that looks any different from my current CLS55.

That's good, it looks as though they've revised their CLS55 030 brochure quite a bit.

Yes indeed, and when reading through the information I stumbled upon this..

If you already own a CLS 55 AMG, SL 55 AMG, or an SLK 55 AMG and are interested in an additional installation, please contact Mercedes-AMG at marketing@mercedes-amg.com.

I just sent them an e-mail requesting individual options of the package and a cost breakdown. Will post their reply as soon as it comes back..
