Thanks for confirming it MB Fanactic

Interestingly I got two responses from Rob Allen (Mr AMG USA) one immediately after each other. The first said no the CLS030 did not have it, and the 2nd, snet the same day, corrected the first email, so even at AMG's US office there was some confusion......here Rob Allen's final reply.........

Dear Danny,

After a confirmation message from AMG Germany, I was informed that indeed
all CLS55 AMGs with Code 030 AMG Performance Package are equipped with a
limited slip differential.

The SL55 AMG with this package is also equipped with this differential and
only the SLK55 AMG is not.

I apologize for the confusion; however, I think that this is good news for
anyone who has one of these very special models. As you can imagine, this
feature makes the onset of ESP start later and helps a lot during exits of
corners in taking advantage of the huge torque produced by the 5.5
Kompresor.

Please share this information with our AMG friends.

Thank You and Best Regards,
Rob

4 wheels
FWIW, my tech was also saying that the contents of the 030 package are well worth the money and the cost was relatively low when compared to aftermarket products.

One thing I asked him was whether or not the contents of the 030 would fit the E55 and he said with a definitive yes that they would. However purchasing the parts would be costly and a time consuming installation for anyone. He did say that he expects MB AMG to offer 030 on the upcoming E63.
