Is it true the CLS has many blind spots?
Im looking forward on buying a CLS500 with the amg kit and i still haven't test drove it yet. I heard the CLS has many blind spots and the back seat is very small. Can some please give me more info on these thank you.

Yes, the CLS has many blind spot. If you get the parktronic, then you really won't have to worry when your backing up, but it really hard to see what's behind you. Also the outside side mirror block your view when turning. i.e. if your making a left turn, and something is in the left-front lower part of your vehicle, you may not see it. As for the rear seat, I haven't had any complaints yet.

Convex Mirrors ($180) Glasses Only
MBenzNL quoted me $180.00 (glasses only) for the mirrors. It is somewhat convex/concave outward so your blindspots are somewhat eliminated.
It worked like a charm on my E46 M3....
Here's the url MBenzNL sent me....

Blind Spots
I was referring more to the sides while driving ... something that Parktronic cannot help with... Although, I agree that Parktronic is very helpful!

The lower left front is a bit hard to see when turning especially when there might be a bit of curbing sticking out, so I tend to stick my head up a little bit.
As far as backing into spots, the rear end does feel like it's longer than it really is so the Parktronic really pays for itself.

I drive my friends cls every once in a while when we are coming back from clubs etc. The blind spots are pretty bad compared to most sedans....parktronic is a must IMO.
The back seats are horrible for people 5'10+....I'm 6'2 and I can barely stand a 30 minute drive back there....but it is a 4 door coupe and has incredible lines...so you have to sacrifice some rear head room if you want it.
That being said, I still think its one of coolest cars Benz has made in a while.

You gotta love it!!!
If you like , love , worship the car then you deal with the less visibility issue and learn to drive with less visibility. If high visibility is a higher priority than awsome design then this is not the car for you!! - Bob
