Volk racing wheels

Just went to the tyre dealer to have a look at some potential new rims, what do u guys think? Volk racing make extremely lightweight wheels for Jap cars and recently they have made some for MBs! Excuse the poor photoshop skills though ...

i think the OEM amgs are one of the nicest stock wheels around...don't think you should switch them up for a set of jap wheels...they might be lightweight but com'on you're driving a benz not a toyota or something. if you want light wheels you should get HRE or iforged or something

nothin wrong with rays wheels @ all in terms of quality and performance. my volk gt7s on my evo has held up great. I've heard so many bad things about HRE it's not even funny....so I decided to get away from that myself. Still though, he does have a pt, Volk wheels do not belong on a benz in terms of styling.

Yeah, I agree with you guys about putting Jap wheels on a Merc, which is why I'm really tempted to go for the front wheel in the pics. It looks like an OEM AMG rim and is strong, lighter and probably cheaper than the OEMs or HREs as well.

I don't know if y'all know this, but some AMG parts are made in Japan because of the factory's need for high quality goods. Nothing at all conradictory to style and performance with Volk wheels on a Benz.

The front wheels, Volk Progressive are the phattest lightest wheel. But yeah, they doesn't really suit merc that well.

Weight?

What is the weight of the rims? That could help make a decision. Lower unsprung weight is huge!!

There are two different version for that model, the progressive and the FORGED MAG. The original is the FORGED MAG, as the name suggest it's forged magnesium and is multi pieces. The progresive is the cheaper and alloy version, it's a single piece instead of multi.

Progressive

Forged MAG
