EVOSPORT Rotors $1500.00!! Who is in?
I just spoke to Simon from Evosport and he said we can do a group buy for their awesome floating rotors. $1500 for the set (ALL FOUR). He needs only 5 orders and we only need four more to sign on.
This is what you get:
![](http://www.evosport.com/images/product/brakes/evosport/es-m5kbrakes-drilled.jpg)
Designed as a direct brake disc replacement for the OE E/CLS/S/CL55 AMG brake discs on all four corners (No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE AMG brake calipers). Not only will the upgraded multi-piece "floating" discs help mitigate brake fade, but are lighter than stock and reduce unsprung weight by a total of 34lbs. on all four corners! This means better acceleration, braking and cornering. In addition, you get to maintain the AMG calipers without going to a more expensive solution that requires replacing them. Available drilled or slotted or slotted.

I have a set of the OEM rotors for the SL/CL 55, but I have been eyeing these EVOSPORT rotors. I like the weight savings in comprison to the oem rotors.
What the hell...count me in!
Anybody interested in a full set of AMG OEM rotors?! Cause I'm going slotted BABY!

PM me some pics, if they'd fit an R230 SL500

I acquired these from AMG2GO (excuse me for a second: "Shout out to BEANTOWN!!"). I'm sorry, back to business. It was his intention to install AMG big brakes (calipers & rotors, front & rear) on the CL600, but I bought the car from him before he had a chance to fully execute.
Recalling the conversation that David and I had, the AMG brake package was installed on a SL55, so you should not have a problem in terms of fitment. Remember I'm only letting the front & rear OEM AMG rotors go, as I'm still planning to install the calipers once I get the appropriate CL caliper bracket (made or acquired from a vendor) and purchase these EVOSPORT rotors via group buy.
Having said all that, give me a couple of shakes of the lambs tail & I'll get on those pics for you. I really wish that I had a caliper to measure the thickness, but I'll use something to display a frame of reference.
Isn't this just like us enthusiasts?
Today is Mother's Day and I'm out in the driveway taking pics of MB rotors. Oh well, that 6 month's worth of mortgage resting on my wife's hand (5 year Anniversary present) should be more than enough "contribution" for the cause!
