I'm proud to say I did it myself, after doing some reading here on the forums and getting some advice from another member (thanks Larry!) The front is really, really easy to do. The rear is not much more difficult, but it did require a lot more time and effort, because the location requires going beneath the car and also because a small amount of steel must be ground away with a rotary tool. Trust me, if I can do it anyone can. The worst part was just the fear of lying below a car supported by only two jacks
Kevin, your other post makes me wish I did a Euro delivery... maybe when I get the CLS with 6.9L biturbo in a few years Thanks for sharing your experience, great pictures, and awesome car!

Yes it is the Lorinser roof spoiler. I bought it prepainted from GTuningwerks. I had the local dealer install it, they tried twice and the left edge separated slightly both times. Now I'm not sure if the dealer is inexperienced at mounting such items (very possible) or if Lorinser's quality control isn't as good as it should be and some pieces have a less than optimal fit. Regardless, I love the way it looks! And the fit is otherwise perfect, the spoiler certainly is not going to fall off and only upon close examination can one see that the left edge is slightly separated. Unless I point it out to someone no one notices. I know of one other type of roof spoiler for the CLS, it is sold on Ebay prepainted for a very reasonable price. I haven't seen it in person, but in the pictures it seems smaller than the Lorinser -- maybe to small to be effective on the car. May be worth a try for someone who wants the look without spending $825 + for the Lorinser (which is what it costs after paint and installation).

Thanks! The wheels are 20x9 & 20x11 and have chrome lips and clear coated brushed centers. Quality is very good. I thought the VSM design would be a nice match for the graphite paint, along with the DCR Lemans and Laguna Seca and Avus AF-M02. If I had gone with a black CLS I would have gotten a different style wheel with black centers for the mafioso / gangsta look Anyway these arrived & balanced with Pirelli PZero Neros 255/30F & 305/25R. Just bolted them on and perfect fit with no problems whatsoever... zero vibration during driving and no spurious noises. So far they are holding air fine, with cold pressure 37 psi front and 39 psi rear. There is no protection of the rim from the tire, particularly in the rear, so I need to be very careful! Kudos to Charles at Wheelautohaus for a great mounting and balancing job and very fair pricing.

Thanks everyone. I love this car!
I've decided on Renntech Performance Package 4 (ECU, pulley, headers, airbox). This will be installed second week of July along with a custom rear seat DVD entertainment system for my little girls, and also video conversion of the COMAND unit.
Some other upgrades are planned later on... new steering wheel with paddles (black piano lacquer wood and Alcantara) and probably some more Renntech stuff.
