cls 55 rear axle oil change at 3000 kms

i just received my cls 55. After the first 3000 kms i noticed in the catalogue that i need to change the rear axle oil. Here in Egypt, the people the MB service center told me that it is not necesary to do so and they told me to keep on driving. They also mentioned to me that this kind of oil is not available and that they have to ask about it through their German collegues in Germany.

Please advise me about what to do, and what are the spcifications of oil that i will need.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know you only need to change the rear axle oil if your car came with a Limited Slip Diff.

Check the window sticker, if it shows that it came with option 030 Performance Package- then yes.. it needs to be changed after break-in. Otherwise, no.

It is recommended to change whether you have the 030 option or not.

Where in the manual does it recommend an oil change. I looked in my US manual and could not find it.

I'm wrong, I just looked in my maintenance booklet and it says "rear axle differential fluid replaced" (CLS55 with AMG Performance Package only)

Come to think of it my MB dealership changed mine and put the wrong gear oil in it. This is what made me think it was required.

My memory is gone, again i'm sorry for posting wrong info.
