Come on...someone race a CLS63 vs CLS55!
We need to find out how these two cars compare stock. Why doesn't someone with a CLS63 arrange for a friendly stoplight race with an stock CLS55. You could probably find someone on this board to do so.
There is sure a lot of 63 vs 55 talk, but not much data, anecdotal or otherwise.

im always down for a race.. I have a CLS 55, If anyone with a 63 wants to go at it im down. lets get something scheduled. If anyone is in or around the Miami Area. Let me know

2003 E55 & 2014 GL550
Okay so we got a 55 ready for this Friday. Can we get a 63 to get to Moroso this Friday? If you've never been to the track or anything like that, nothing to worry about. Supposedly those 63's are a dream to launch compared to the 55 and Moroso is pretty friendly (first timers last year had a blast)

I will bring my stock CLS55 to Moroso on Firday if there is an E63 coming up - really need to have a freindly race and see how they stack up against each other.
Moroso is a blast - and even if you have never run there before - its real simple and always a ton of fun - let me know - really want to get this going

E55 v. CLS63
my cousin has a cls 63 w/ a custom exhaust and a 305 rear tire (on a 20in wheel)
i was behind him, we took off from about 20-25, the e got a reasonably good launch but there was wheelspin, the cls just took off. the distance stayed the same until about 110, then the cls started to very very slowly pull away
by 120 he pulled what looked like 1/2 a car (remember, i was behhind him)

If this is really going down...I want to come watch. I might even take a pass in the S class just to know. Im 30 minutes away from Moroso...would love to bring cameras...still & video.

If there is enough people interested, how about we rent out Moroso for a few hours? That way we can get the place to ourselves. I am calling today to see if it can be done. (I also just dropped my car off this AM for a scheduled service, I will know later this afternoon when it will be ready)
