MB S63 AMG Coupe
So, how do you think the two cars compare?
Like you, I have an MB and a Porsche. I have a recently purchased CLS63 and a recently purchased '07 C4S Cab (I would send pics but feature is disabled). I just crossed the break-in on the MB and I need a few hundred miles to cross on the Porsche. Once I do, I plan to try and do comparative runs on both.
Clearly, your Turbo should out perfom the CLS55, it would be interesting to know real world results though.

Congrats!
Great performing car but I do wish they would have changed the looks as much as they did the insides. I was on the list and passed on mine. To me it looks like a 996 TT with minor body effects. Gotta respect the stock performance though. A few gemballa mods and it might break into the 2s.

It is a automatic, after the CLS55 I got spoiled by instant power and don't want to shift again, call me lazy but I am often in traffic and automatic is the way to go.
I also have a ML63 that is going to be built in October that is going to replace the LR3 that I have, at that time I think my garage is complete :p
The truth is the TT tip drives alot like the CLS55, acceleration is a little bit better, handling is better, stops a little bit better, but it also rides firmer. I consider it to be a improved version of CLS55 but in a smaller tighter package. The power delivery is just like CLS55 --> like a sledgehammer.

there is so much more to it than just 0-60. I owned 2 carreras they were both manual, i enjoyed driving them tremendously. But i just cant think why would any man buy it in automatic, it just ruins the experience.
From my own experience i know that the 55 thrashes the c4 996 up to 155mph, however i am considering the 997 turbo.
Please tell us how they compare.

I think he gave reason for the Tip when he compared it to the CLS55, the Tip IMO would be turning the car into a tremendously nice GT car rather than an all-out street performer. You just sit back and push the pedal, and then you go from one point to the other extremely fast, but you are somewhat isolated when driving these cars, they're so nicely put together that you don't get much sense of speed, it's quiet and precise, with the full leather interior and extra nice touches, this car is also one very nice luxury car, that'll do 0 to 60 in 3.4 sec.
plus the little problem that my wife refuses to drive a stick.

So, now that you have had the Porsche for bit, which car do you like driving more? The CLS or the Porsche? Better yet, I will start a new thread on this.
