Okay, searched and could find it, how do you remove door pins...

I just bought a set of the chrome mercedes door pins off ebay. Now, how do you get the stock door pins out. I tried wrapping vice(sp?) grips with a towel and turning them and still no luck! Any advice?

Matthew Haynes

Also- If you have any input, what could be some visual mods for my CLS63 I could start doing. Where could I find the Carbon Fiber dash I saw in soem thread?

Those are definitely different than the pins that came with my CLS55. Maybe they no longer screw on and off.

Hopefully you can get them off, because those pins are ugly (at least as bad as the plastic mushroom things my 55 came with) and the chrome pin/escutcheon sets from Ebay look really sharp.

Did you get the stock pins out?? I just picked up my new CLS 63 yesterday from BH MB and am trying to get my pins out. They are really on tight and I am afraid that they might not screw out. Maybe they are not threaded like the 55's are??

YES, they screw out. I have the same car and I changed my pins too. just unscrew with plyers for half a turn then you can unscrew it by hand after. BTW I bought my car from BH too.
