I HATE south florida drivers My wife got into an accident with our 4 month old girl and my 12yr son. Some ******* decides to run a light while my wife has the green and in the middle of the intersection he hits her in the side! Thank god everyone is ok. Our baby cried for 10 min. though. He hit the r in the back tire and which is now on an angle and also did a little damage to the side. My wife told me that she saw him coming and tried to speed up but it was too late. If she hadnt of sped up the guys pos pt cruiser would have went headfirst in the seat our baby was in.I swear i was about to kill the guy-especially if he was some punk *** spanish kid who thinks he owns the road, but it was a 80 year old guy with parkinsons! Why this guy was allowed to drive is a mystery to me but someone has to act. People should have to take a driving test once they pass a certain age. The wheel was hit pretty bad and i think that the axle is bent because the car is tipping sidways a bit and because the top of the wheel is pointing outward. I was actually able to limp it home but the steering is fkd up and it now says ESP malfunction and i cant take it in to a dealership because its the weekend. Does anyone know if i can get a loaner from MB even though the dealer that its getting fixed at is not where we bought it.(bought at MB of Ann Arbor and now live in Ft. Lauderdale-taking it to MB of Ft. Laud)

Loaners are usually in high demand. You might get lucky with no waiting, but most times, they are a few weeks out on service with loaners. I didn't purchase my car in this state, and they never have a prob setting me up with a loaner.

Always gotta get on that list though, the loaners go fast.

Just glad everyone is okay!! The baby crying part makes me violent at the guy who hit you. I am always against the "have you been injured" scam lawyers, but for the kid trauma, I say SUE THE CRAP OUTTA HIM!!!

Thanks J, I really hope i can get her a loaner because both the S and the CLS are in the shop and I have the P car so now she has no car Im not going to sue the guy, Maya(the baby) is fine now and he's 80 and already got a big ticket.

Glad everybody is ok. I agree with you that people have to take driving test again at certain age.

Btw, as for the loaner, here in my dealership (MBSD), they wont give you a loaner for body repair. So, we get the loaner from the insurance ( either our or the other party, depends on whose fault). Hope that helps and good luck

Thanks guys, dont know about the pics too dark and taking it to dealer at 7 in the morn. Anyone know how long it will take to fix if the back axle is fkd up,ESPmalfunction,side body damage,new wheel and brakes,rattle in front of the car,turn signal broken?

well guys no luck on getting MB loaner-the rental service at MB of Ft. Laud provided me with a chevy Uplander My wife wasnt happy but too bad. The service advisor told us there was more damage than we think and it will be at LEAST a month untill we get it back -I cant believe they outsource their repairs to Maroone Nissan?

ouch i feel ur pain, my MB dealer has C280s as there loaners but they do work fast, they even put 2 techs on my car to fix my rear air shock cause i needed the car back in a rush, ill give it too them they did it fast but ppl these days really cant drive its sad

The policy around here is a loaner if you bought from the dealership. Check with your insurance company if you have a rental car written in to help offset the costs.
