996 Turbo to CLS63?

I am new to this forum and found it in search of information regarding the
CLS63. I currently drive a Porsche 996 Turbo but am looking to replace with something that has slightly more rear seat space. My kids fit in the Porsche fine until now. I know I will be sacrificing a bit on performance but by how much? Anyone here go from a porsche to a CLS55 or 63? How does the car handle compared to a BMW 7 series? Any help is greatly appreciated. Great forum by the way.

I think you will be very pleased with the 55/63. You will be giving up the handling of 996 but the torque will hopefully make up for it

There's just enough room for two small kids to sit comfortably in the back, but not that comfortable for adults "a little tight".
A buddy of mine has the 750 I drove it for a week before my buying cls63, and I did like it very much, it was roomy and very classy, but I was comparing it to the cls550. In my opinion the bmw was better then the cls550. But I ending up buying the cls63, and to me there's no comparison, the cls63 in my opinion blew the BMW away.. Good luck

I had a 2003 C4s, Loved it but to be honest it is no where close when comparing for comfort. CLS is every bit as powerful and many times more comfortable. Too bad youy have to choose one over the other , the Porsche is F U N

I actually don't really have to choose between the two but I am. My wife drives a 7 series and we also have a new Tahoe but, I am a speed nut and cannot imagine using the Tahoe as a daily driver. I'd consider getting rid of the Tahoe but we need it periodically for car trips and weekend projects, plus the killing I'd take since we just purchased 5 months ago.
