Wow, thanks. Just got done reading that entire post. That's awesome. Those are much better times than people are getting on the E63. How can that be?

Speaking of the the E63, one was behind me yesterday and was trying to get a long side me to race. I thought for sure I would leave this car in my dust. I've never seen or heard of the the E63 before. So, at the light, it was on
. I had a slight lead the whole time
(maybe by about 2 to 3 feet) till around 80+ and then we both slowed down. ESP was off. Next time, I'll turn the dyno off as well.

So it leads me to believe that either CLS63AMGGUY's g-timer is broken OR there is an inherent glitch with the E63 which would explain why they were only able to get like 385 rwhp on a recent dyno from that car. From what I understand the CLS63 has 425 RWHP.
Anyone know a good place in OC to get Dyno'd?

All of the AMG Benzes now have NA motors. No more Superchargers. Thus the 6.3 motor.

Hey Heath, I never laid any rubber with the old wheels, as bad as I wanted to, I fought the temptation. But now she's broken in and it's a whole different story. It's always game on. Thanks for the info on your buddies M3 AKA 63 crusher. I'm definitely staying away him. LOL

I'd love to do the track day. Do you have more info? Maybe a link? I am going to get the car on a dyno on Tuesday. Local place will do it for $80 (three runs) which sounds pretty fair. I'll post graphs and what not soon after.

3.89
0-60 3.89 on my first try on a cold road in the middle of the night, will post best time with warm tires after some more practice (first try meaning first try with new wider rims and tires)
I just had some 20x11.5's put on the back, wrapped with conti 3's which are absolutely awesome. Engine mods include kleeman k2, custom carbon fiber airbox. Other mods include deletion of front 2 catylitic converters, kleeman lowering module and quaife lsd.

k2 kit
k2 includes headers, supercharger pully, computer programming
according to hop in huntington beach, the kleeman k2 gives you most of the power and the k3, k4 gives nominal power increases for the price (they spread the power rating out a little to make it seem worth it to buy the k4) I can't tell you exactly what a k2 alone will do but the k2 plus the airbox and removal of 2 of the catylitic converters left me with about 580 hp
I will get some pictures up as soon as i get back into town, the rims really turned out nice :-D

I don't know man, the E63 is about 150 lbs lighter and has exactly the same engine/transmission if I am not mistaken. The two cars are basically the same the body and chasis not withstanding, so technically the E63 should have the advantage but I keep hearing 4.3 sec from those guys at the E63 forum which is not even in the same league as 3.9.

I agree with you...per the specs on the E63...it should be a bit faster...but all I keep reading, on many sites, it that it dynos a bit less then the CLS and it is for some reason, a tad slower! I have not figured why as of yet...?????
