Brake Dust!!

The brake dust is killing me... I need to clean the wheels at least once every two days. Any solutions? Alternate brake pads?

Is this your first MB? In fact my CLS63 is better than my W211 was. yeah, it's a pain but you know what they say, kill me, make me beautiful. And the car is nothing if not beautiful

Cut back on tire dressing as well... helps alittle. If you use tire dressing, it tends to attract the dust as it gets on the wheels while you drive....

I'm right with you Barman, I hate it as well, but we have to keep those shoes shining.
Try Mothers Chrome polish, the dust wipes off with ease with a damp cotton cloth, and you can get a few extra days before they need wiping.

That's another thing I like about the stock wheels. they don't show the dust that much.

2022 AMG SL 63. 2021 APR stage 1 Audi SQ7.
Downshift with the paddles

Less brake usage but may not be so good on the transmission.....

If money isnt the issue I would upgrade to the Evosport rotors, braided brake lines and use the Pagid brake pad (reduces brake dusting)

I switched to pagid intermediate pads and they are a lot better and work better also.

Front pads I can see, rotors are a different matter. Get a second opinion. Lots of posts on here about dealers milking the worn brake/rotor angle for your $$$.

If you want to spend your money on less dust, go get some Porterfield pads (they aren't cheap). If you are a DIY type, pads are usually easy on MB's (can't speak directly about the E55 though).
