Kelly at Moroso got back to me today and told me that she is still waiting on the insurance to let her know the additional cost of having both lanes open and also the limit of cars that can attend - probably not more than 50 or else it will be way too much money cuz it will be more like an event than a small track night.

I'll keep everyone posted on this as details progress.

I am not sure what you mean to imply by the crazy icons while asking for my time-slips – it certainly doesn’t appear very respectful from my perspective. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt

In any case if you are suggesting that I haven’t done the times I noted, I suggest you check out dragtimes.com as well as this CLS55 forum as well as the E55 forum for many posts by myself.

But from the tone of your post it appears if you are calling me out so I am compelled to respond and in chronological order, here are the time slips for my E55 and CLS55 cars. If youa re not calling me out - hey just ignore the rest of this post - in any case we both live in Lauderdale so I hope this is just a simple misunderstanding!!!!!!!!!!

December 2005 – my first ever trip down the ¼ mile strip – finally got a 12.33 run

January 2006 in cooler weather I got my 12.169 run which to date remains my best run in a BONE STOCK E55 and as far as I can tell this is the 8th fastest STOCK E55 run on dragtimes.com. Note that from all the time slips you will see that it is all in the launch – each successive run gave me a 1/10th better 60ft launch. I go from 2.13, 2.048, 1.96, 1.883, and finally a 1.784 eventually knocking 4/10ths of my ¼ mile time despite only running 114mph

January 2006 I sold the E55 and replaced it with the CLS55 030

March 2006 – my first runs down the strip with the CLS55 – 65 degree weather relatively good track prep only 1,500 miles so car a little tight
Can only manage 1.912 60ft and only a 12.509 ¼ mile at 111.99mph

September 2006 - Heres my post after we conducted the face off between the AMG CLS55 and the new CLS63 very soon after the launch of the CLS63 models. Weather wasn’t great – 86 degrees and relative humidity almost 80%. Neither of us got good times but we were able to make some deductions regarding the 2 vehicles.

You gotta do at the very least an ALTITUDE CORRECTION. I am running at 2700 feet. My 13.14 run is slower by 2/10ths vs. your 12.509. Here is why. Your car would NEVER I mean NEVER ever unless you modded the crap out of it run a 12.50 @LACR where I ran the 13.14. That was cool night but the track is still 2700 feet above sea level.

.97*13.14=12.74
1.05*105=110 mph.

I have a 12.48 now so our cars are likely EQUAL

Your car would run at best a 13.0-13.5 here. You guys need to seriously understand your cars are not faster than a 63. XABO ran a 12.5 in his 63 at sea level. I will put it another way for you . On the same track on the same day I have never been beaten by a cls 55! The cars are equal. If you think for a second you could beat a 63 by 6/10th you are sadly mistaken. I will come to Fla rent a 63, you give me a 6/10th lead. I will Murder your 55! does anyone in this FORUM understand the altitude correction set forth by NHRA?
