I agree to post this in the E55 forum as well, its probably the most 1/4 mile obsessed section on this forum. I may be interested as well, depending on the date. It would be amazing to do this in June though, my SLK55 will have a kleemann kompressor by then and I should be will into 11's

OK ladies and gentlemen...Looks like this could go through. I spoke with the rep at Moroso today and here's the deal:

It's going to be on a Thursday night, possibly in May or June. It'll be fully sanctioned i.e., ambulance, security, food etc...Both lanes will be open, time will most likely be around 6pm - 11pm or midnight if I can stretch it. I'm going to organize the entire event for everyone, and also hire a videographer to film the event and also photographers to take lots of pictures. I'll probably make T-shirts too...I own an advertising company so we'll probably put a little website together to cover the event and upload all the pictures.

Price is going to be somewhere around $100 / car and maybe $20 for each spectator. I'm waiting on her to get back to me with details as far as how many cars can attend. Most likely only about 50-100 cars, depending on what the insurance rates are. it's priced by the amount of vehicles supposedly.

I'm going to test the waters and see how many people may be interested, and if it seems like enough to cover the cost of the track and everything I'll start setting everything up. Let me know your thoughts / opinions!

I would be interested in bring my Viper. But someone told me now you cannot bring a convertible car there without a roll cage if it runs better then a 13.0 or 12.0? Is there anyway you can check on that?

Convertibles running 10.99 or quicker, 135mph or faster must have roll cage meeting SFI Spec 2.7A

Cool, you 100% sure on that? is it still current? A friend of mine said they threw him outta Moroso with his Viper when he ran a 12.1 because he had no roll cage.

13.0 in a vert, 11.50 or quicker in a coupe...depending on it being a private rental, they may stretch the rules a little, but i'd ask before showing up

You can only ask this question when you have a date (or range of dates) available. I am in anytime I can make it. I have had plenty of fun at Moroso - 12.169 in my E55 and 12.509 in my CLS55 - both bone stock

BMW's?! we'll see how many cars we can bring and if there's extra space why not I guess...I was thinking about putting together a BMW vs Mercedes night also if this one goes well. Just an idea.
