I would recommend to remove the resonators. That will bring the car to life.

I'm sure Renntech has a very nice exhaust system for the car. Give them a call. Is the exhaust different for the 55 vs 63? The engine is different but I'm pretty sure the mufflers are the same.

This is what I did. The AMG exhaust is as close to great performance as you're gonna get. With the resonators out you'll get the right sound out of it as well.

Here's before and after clips from my car:

Before Delete: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLzEph1nhBg

After Delete: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_1RLfCHzkU

The videos don't do it justice, the difference is ridiculous. And I didn't notice any change in performance really.

Resonator delete is a must for the CLS63, it sounds 10x better then stock.

Maybe you should roll out some of the exhaust designs you have been secretly working on, I know you have your hands full over there as u are transitioning, but you are keeping some of us in the dark about some of the new products that maybe coming our way. Guys there are some big things to come from EuroElites right around the corner

Thank you Jay; once the time is right we will launch a full product line for AMG, M and Porsche...

Okay, a novice question... how do you remove them? Searched, but didn't find a DIY thread.

Just removed mine and inside the car all is well no 1500 rpm drone, no loud noise inside the cabin BUT outside the car, Mean, Muscle, Machine .. Sound good but I must say That I had Corsa Touring on my vette and that is the sound I am looking for. A More excotic sound not Old Muscle tone.. But still sound sweet

Is there just one resonator that needs to be removed? Also, is it better to replace it with straight pipes or VRP's x-pipe?

Lexaltezza,
It's just one resonator. Any muffler shop would know what you are talking about. I have a CLS55 and I had it removed last week. Sounds sweet but, I'm still looking for more aggressive sound like an eisenmann exhaust.

Does anyone know if eisenmann makes a race exhaust for cls55 amg? I'm still trying to find out. I know they have it for the non AMG version and it sounds GOOD. You can find some demos on youtube. If anyone knows this question and also know where I may be able to order one, please reply.

Stay away from Eisenhaus.com. They got there license to sell eisenmann exhausts stripped for forging there design, having it made in KOREA and slapping an Eisenmann nametag on it. I think there system is called the Eisenmann meisterschaff or something like that. Don't deal with them.

btw, what is your name? I am looking for some 20 inch rims. Thanks again.
