same BS here re the 12K miles limitation. So far, no dice re replacing the pads w/o getting ugly, which I quite frankly hesitate to do w/ my dealer to the extent that so far I have a very good "relationship" w/ them (but why not, they always get paid).

Trez63's issue is slightly different. They didn't complain about passing 12,000 miles. They complained that his pads were almost worn out all the way.

The TSB doesn't mention any mileage limitation. So if your brakes are not severly worn out, you should be able to get the dealer to approve your brake change whether you have 5,000 miles or 20,000 miles.

CLS 63
FYI...

My CLS 63's brakes would squeal so loud that I couldnt drive with the windows down. It was embarrasing! Well, just yesterday I dropped it off in the morning and it was dony by the afternoon. The dealer didnt replace the pads, but instead put some kind of lubrication on the pads. This completly stopped the squeal, but I will see how long it lasts for.
By the way, my car has 6280 miles on it, so it is fairly new.

E63, SL 550 Sport,C63 Coupe On the Way!!
Well I took the advice that some on here posted and I dropped my car off Wed for the brakes and other stuff. I gave them the DTB and they called telling me my car doesnt apply and my car had the new brake pads already. Well it sat for days picked it up and nothing got done. The said they couldnt duplicate the squeal

I drove 50 feet and it squeals and i told the SA he heard them himself and said there isnt anything they could do. Now its squealing at every single stop

What the hell am i supposed to do?

I understood you were pursuing a Lemon Law complaint for multiple issues.

07 CLS 63 09 GL550, 98 Honda Prelude, 08 Honda Civic...yes too many cars
Took my car to the dealer mb houston north and they told me they will not fix this noise...it is normal with the humidity of houston, etc....i guess i will have to live with it, i even mentioned the bulletin and the service guy told me that the new pads do not work either, they changed a few on some new s550 and problem came back, mb told them to stop doing it, etc.

The question is: How does the Owner contact MBUSA directly about the brake squeal and their TSB? The Dealer is of no help.

Talking

Does the CLS63 have fixed calipers on the rear?
Other MB models, typically high performance , AMG's have fixed calipers that inherently squeal under light pedal pressure. Sounds like a city bus stopping.

For the first the 12 months/12000 miles (whichever comes first) MBUSA covers pad and rotor replacement (i.e.: squeal) at no cost under warranty. Furthermore, a "DTB" does exist and if you want a copy to present to your SA and/or service manager PM your email address to me. Include your VIN if you want a MB datacard listing your vehicle’s option & paint codes, production date, etc. for future reference.

DTB P-B-42.10/76a does not include the 55 only the 63 models. You can however mention DTB P-B-42.10/79 that addresses 55 rear brake squeal but does not include the front brakes.

Ok just got a call this morning from the Dealer! They are telling me that the 12month/12K mileage has expired for me getting it replaced. I have a 07 with 11,000 miles on it. They did say they heard the Squeal tho! That makes no sense that you would make someone pay for a brake Job at 11,000 mile mark when u know its a know problem They told me it would cost me 755.00 parts and labor

Just talked to the Dealer i bought the Car from (EuroMotors) Bethesda they told me to go get my car from the Stealership (Tysons Corner MB) and bring it to them so they can Fix the car Free Of charge!!! under the DTB P-B-42.10/76a The SA at Euromotors told me that he can not believe that they would have brush me off like that or give me the runaround like that, especially after they heard it squeak and knowing that it a DTB for it. These are 100K + cars not a Kia. No offense to you Kia owners!

Euromotors is a solid company. Stay away from HBL of Tysons Corner(Stealership). I used to work in finance office there. Very arrogant A-holes that run the place and treat there employees/management/clients like DOODOO!!
