CLS63 vs Ford GT...
So a red Ford GT pulls up next to me at the light on Kendall drive...I'm with the wife in the car, and he's got some hot *** chick in his car. I wasn't sure if he wanted to race, but when the light turned green I stepped on it and he did also at the same time. He got a pretty decent launch and pulled about a half car on me, but once he shifted into second I pulled about a car length on him. My wife was like "how can your car be faster than that thing??!!!" It was awesome!
We got up to about 70, and he was starting to catch up to me pretty quick, but by that time there was another red light so we had to slam on the brakes. He opened the window and was in shock, he couldn't believe what just happened! His remark was "What the hell is that!!!???" He said he was on it as hard as he could be. I told him, I have the AC on full blast too...hah!
I know those cars are fast, but my brother in law had one and it didn't seem all that to me, what's the big hype...Anyways, thought I'd share.

Great run, car is so sik it likely "stunned " the other driver.
Have you ever heard of stunner shades?
Nice run period. My car at Spring Mountain was faster than a Ford GT. Its possible and I find it amusing the fact that everyone here questions a 63 owners story , how many 55 owners get simillar response when posting a kill story?

I agree man. Either people simply do not have a clue how to drive their cars or we have too many dreamers here. Ford GT is a mid-high 11 second car w/ 120mph+ trap speeds and 0-60 under 4 seconds. It was faster than C6 Z06 in many tests.

It is what it is guys, maybe he can't drive, maybe he had no traction, bottom line is he got smoked with his chick in the car. I didn't join this forum to make up stories, just telling you guys how it went down.

Sorry CLS63 if my comment was a bit harsh ... I've just been seeing a lot of silly matchups lately. The reality is if I went against a SLR and I won for some crazy reason, the first thing I would say is that the SLR driver sucked.

I saw about 6 Ford GTs today in Irvine by Houstons. They had a meet I guess. I love that car now. You just got him on that run, but believe me, out of 10 runs, he's have you 8 times. The CLS is not all that consistant either, today mine wasn't moving all that well cause I've been driving like a grandma lately.

Juice has 388rwto w/fact wheels, Vadim tried dynoing his customers E63 w/20" wheels and got 365 rwto..You say this guy said "He was on it as hard as he could be?"

Every American Fast car (Vette, Ford GT, Viper ..) Requires some great timing and skill to launch right and come out of frist -> 2nd. So you're not gonna win everyone. But I know for a fact that the ford GT is faster and I am seriously considering it as my next car in two years or so.

+1 on the "anything can happen on the street" comment. Reality is that if one doesn't take others seriously (my guess is the Ford GT driver did not take you seriously, hence the result) you can get some "wins" or get beat if you are not ready.

That comment pretty much proved to me that this "race" was made up. Any person who is capable of driving manual transmission will easily beat CLS55 with a Ford GT. It is extremely easy to launch a mid-engined car with huge tires, and 1st gear will take you to 60mph, so the guy didn't even have to switch to 2nd since you say the "race" ended by 70mph. Sorry, but this guy is clearly full of it....

And as reported by OP Ford GT got a good launch but then the magical cls reeled him in and passed him thru 2ndI've thrown it down step up! light to light or frwy pull your CLS is in my rear view mirror camera lol... I'm linking this Horsecrap to some Ford GT sites, this guy needs some

seems to me the gt did a bad shift from 1-2 and thats why he pulled. At those speeds any car can get smoked if something goes wrong as you have little distance to fully ride out the gears and make amends.
Heck my cuisines E-500 beat me in a 0 to 30-40kph race because i mashed the peddle and the lovely triangle never stopped flashing lol. Does he think his car is faster no, but **** happens.

Just going by the OP, it doesn't float.
now if he said the GT went up in smoke from the dig? that would make more sense, he didn't say that...No way he's going to make up that lost length then pull an additional length from 60-70?? against a car that traps up to 130 vs 108-112 CLS63...
