New CLS 63 owner

Hello, I'm new to the forums. I just recently picked up a 2007 CLS 63 and I love this car. I'm looking into making some few basic modifications but I'm not quite sure where to start. A friend of mine has an SL 65 AMG and he started with the programming, etc. Any recommendations?

Scott, welcome to MBWORLD and congratulations on CLS63!

With regard to mods, look at this thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/202131-amg-63-r-d-1-a.html

Meanwhile, if you are looking for a software - Powerchip makes a tune that wakes up 63s quiet nicely.

More power mods to follow.................

Welcome to the boards, you'll find a wealth of informatio here.

There are not much modification options for the 63 engine right now, but Vadim is working on some really cool stuff which will be released soon. If you can't wait, RennTech has ECU tune and headers (should give you about 50 hp increase).

Here is a link to our MB page.

As far as the manufacturer warranty goes, we tie our software to the ECU's VIN, software and hardware numbers. This keeps it pretty stealth. My car has been back to the dealer a number of times and they have never blinked an eye and have covered everything.
