CLS 55 Amg
Insane 20 to 170MPH CLS55 AMG racing 04 Convertible Mystic Cobra
This race was crazy we were ran 6 times on turnpike
I started in 1st and the Cobra was in Second because he didnt have tires more like home made slicks
So thats Why I got the jump on him on the first race and when He was shifting into sixth he short shifted nasty
Than in the middle of the Race a C5 Z06 decides to join in on the races

at those speeds I bet the 7speed tranny in a CLS55 would have shined

That was one great... pretty safe race!

nice runs, those convertibles are heavy pigs too...the CLS definitely has the aero advantage at those high speeds...

I think the CLS55 has 5 speed. The 63 has the 7 speed. Correct me if I am wrong.

That is correct! What I was saying is " If " only if it had the 7sp tranny it would have done the CLS55 some good up top!

Actually NO wouldnt because the Reason they didnt put the 7 SPeed IN the 55s because
They Could not hold the power or the torque that they are campable of and Once you go beyond 500 Pounds of torque which would be pulley chip and exhuast it would eventually mess up the 7 speed where as the 5 is ten times stronger and more reliable

I think by "IF" he meant IF it would hold the power and be reliable it would do better. Besides, he said the car is stock, so it would take the power.

I think it is. The 5 speed is a nice tranny no doubt! but it was time for "Change" just like in... the white house change is good sometimes.......
