7G Transmission Problem

I searched the threads and did not find a similar problem. I was wondering if you guys have ever experienced a similar issue. While driving, then coming to a stop, the car does not come out of gear, even when resuming speed. It happened to me twice, once I could not get out of 2nd gear, and the other time I couldn't get out of 5th. The paddles and shifter don't work, even though the display shows a change. I have to pull over, put it in park, turn off the car, then turn the car back on to get it out of gear. I have 14k miles, and I am taking may car into the stealership tonight.

Any similar problems? Any advise or insight would be appreciated.

Did you try resetting the adaptive transmission (ECU reset).

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

its a Dealership,probably a valvebody
you ought to go to the doctors or a lawyer if you want to see a stealership, a dealership will shear the sheep but they will gut you
you don't see a dealer employee owning a brand new s class, but doctors and lawyers will own sevral

Dealership called, said I needed a new valve body and brain. I don't know what that means, but it is covered by warranty. I pick it up in 2 days.

Its a common fix and an easy one at that. This has been done on many 2007 aka early production run 63's already. Nothing to worry about. Should run like butter afterwards.

BTW what dealership did you take the car to?

Mercedes of SouthBay, the service center in Manhattan Beach, not Torrance. SA was pretty cool. Said he needed to tell me that my brake pads needed to be replaced since they were under 7mm. Suggested I wait based upon his personal opinion. I only have 14k miles, I am suprised it needs pads this soon.

Ughhh, I got the car back today and it drives like crap. It is not responsive at all, and the shift points seem all messed up. It goes back to the dealership tonight.
