Wheels & offset
Brabus CLS wheels have an offset of about 20-something. But lots of the S/E-class wheels offset are around 40-something. Is it possible to just take the e-class wheels and use spacers?
Is there any sort of negative impact to doing it that way vs just getting wheels that are made with the proper offset? I'd imagine the 'face' of the wheel might be further out or deep, but other than appearance?
The CLS usually requires a much lower offset, like around 22mm for the front on a 9 inch rim width. That was what I had on a set of 20's before and around 28 on an 11 inch rim wide in the rear.
Since you have a CLS you might as well take advantage of the use of lower offsets to have deep lip wheels, which is one of the reasons why I bought the CLS.
