Considering Selling my 2006 AMG CLS55 with 030 Perf. Package

Hi Guys

I have a stunning 2006 Black AMG CLS55 with around 17,000 miles on the clock. This car also has the 030 Performance Package that included
  • composite brakes
  • Limited Slip Diff
  • 2 piece 19" AMG wheels
  • Speed limiter set at 186 MPH (instead of 155MPH)
  • Dynamic Seats
  • and some other items I beleive

I bought it specifically to have one of the last 55K Compressor engines in the CLS body style before they moved to the NA 6.3L, and was not interested in all the other options, other that Sirius and Satellite. Car stickered at around $108 if I recall correctly.

I don't need to sell it and am only considering it because someone is dangling something tasty in front of me. If someone is really interested in it I will post up the full specs and take some current photos.

Also note that I have TWO (2) sets of the Original AMG 19" two piece wheels pictured on this car. (These wheels sell for $8400 from the dealer). The set on the car is 100% immaculate - no road rash - really stunning. Spare set is 99% immaculate. I would provide both sets to the new buyer, or would consider selling the spare set.

If anyone is interested in this car, let me know via the forum or PM me.

Here are a couple of photos of the car when I first got it.

Not sure what to ask for it. Its in absolutely mint condition and I am only considering selling as I might need the garage space sometime soon

Some of the members IM's suggest that I should be happy with high 40's to low 50's but others suggest mid to high 50's. I did receive an offer in the high 40's but thats not going to do it for me.

Lets put it this way, if someone makes me a decent offer, I will sell it.

I just totaled my CLS55. Turned around and bought an immaculate, low miles, CLS55 030 (build date 2/2006).

Almost exactly like yours except orig. invoice $107,084 (break down below). I paid $55,887 last Monday. That was CPO from MB with 100,000 mi extended warranty included.

Because I've been through the whole thing with insurance "total loss value" and "wholesale vs. retail" I have the numbers handy.

Adjusting because your miles are lower, but fewer options, the numbers are probably the same.

Here's the codes and mileage breakdown

29K miles

040 Black
281 AMG Charcoal Nappa
H05 High Gloss Laurel
Y83 Alcantara Liner Charcoal
022 Sirius Satellite Radio
030 AMG performance package including (030, P30, 785)
220 PARKTRONIC
319 Lighting Package (Xenon) including (319, 600, 615)
326 Premium Package including ...
.. 401 Heated & Active Ventilated Seats
.. 433/434 Drive Dynamic seats (driver & pass)
.. 530 DVD COMMAND Nav
.. 540 Power rear sunshade
.. 819 6-Disc changer
475 Tire pressure monitoring system
881 Electronic Trunk
889 KEYLESS GO

TOTAL INVOICE $107,084

AFTER Value adjusted for low mileage ...
(These are SoCal numbers - BTW)
Wholesale: $56850
Retail: $63110

For those that haven't been shopping around, cars in this condition are rare. And those 030's are hard to find on the market in the price range above.

Good luck with the sale. Clean ride.

The above MSP was exactly the same as my 030. I negotiated down to $92K. This was Jan 07. Was a great deal then. I enjoy every minute of driving this car.
