Fit and Finish 55 vs. 63

Hey guys, I've been thinking of getting a sport sedan and after driving an 08 CLS 63, an 09 C63, and 06 M5 and looking at the 09 CTSV I'm beginning to lean towards the CLS. There is an 06 55 for sale down the road and I was wonder a few things.
1st. Is there any noticeable differences in fit and finish?
2nd. Can you replace the steering wheel on the 06 with an 07 and paddle shifters?
3rd. Outside of performance, any other noticeable differences between the two?

Thanks for your help.

You can easily do all the mods interior wise to the 55 to make it like the 63.

Get the CLS that cost you the least, they are simply 100x better looking than the cars you comparing to.

GET THE CLS man

my opinion

I would take a 55 all day long over the 63....no negotiating

IN looks ...the CLS is a TIMELESS piece......and the caddy is not ......

BUT The caddy is a hell of a machine.....GOD BLESS GM for making it.....PRAISE

NOW ...I would take a used CTS-V over a CLS...in the near future...

There are no used CTS-V out there now...but there will be....

The CTS is a great car... but it will drop in value and I would get it on the low side....now you can get a nice 55 for low $40's and a CTS would be high $50's...no way would I pay more for the CTS....based on depreciation of the CTS .....

BUT ON the other hand in a year or less the CTS will be under warranty and in the low to mid $50's and the 55's will be out of warranty and in the low to mid $30's ......no brainer there FOLKS....

Now for all you gotta have a new car guys....well then go for the CTS-V...it will lose maybe about $20k tops in 18 months...where as a CLS55 and 63 lost about $50k in less then 2 years.......so you will not be sunk too much....

and the CTS-v is a great car.....i drove it a few times.....

on the other hand you can get a S65 if you like the sedans....sorry but no CTS-V is anything near a 65 in acceleration.....though it is a little heavier with less driver satisfaction...where the CTS is a drivers car

I don't like the looks of V and how close it resembles a CTS. I know the power is going to be addicting with the V but I already have a modded Jeep SRT-8 with a 175 shot that takes care of my 0-60 and 1/4 needs. I just love the looks of the CLS and rarely see them on the highway. In fact, I think I've only seen 3 or 4 in my area and one of the two Benz dealers in town is right down the road.

If there really is no difference between quality and I can update the steering wheel on a cls 55 (hate the + and - tabs) then it looks like a cls 55 is the better deal. I still need to drive the 55 to make sure the s/c doesn't bother me.

I'll be searching the net for a black 55, low mileage, cpo, with the 030 package.

Thanks for your help.
