Brakes

Going in tomorrow to get new brake pads after 22k miles. Just curious what you guys have been paying on your AMG. I was quoted $450 for the fronts and $1k all the way around. Thanks in advance.

ugh! Between property and income taxes, timing sucks. I actually dropped it off on the way into work, and the quote for the fronts increased to $550.

Which shop you use in San Jose? I think I saw your car last night at the SCVCC. I am the silver CLS63 in SCVCC.

Hi Calvin,
Yes, I remember your deep dish rims ...I was behind you last night as you were behind this white M5. But I am far from looking like a girl with by bald head

Seriously, I need to start modding soon. But it is hard to mod the exterior without ruining the flow of the stock shape. Maybe CF front lip and spoiler. Also, I will probably get the Kleemann K2 later this year or early next year.

Is that your house? I think I jog by that home every morning as I live on Gleneagles Cir and run through Cannes Pl during my morning jog. BTW, I am Aaron. Let me know if you want to meet. Regarding Beshoff, I just got their discounted $89.95 coupon for synthetic oil change, so I am bringing my car in tomorrow for the work. I will ask for the brake prices then.

Thanks and sorry to the OP for OT.

If you guys are looking for a low dust better biting pad for you CLs63 guys, we have the EBC Redstuff, $105 for the fronts, and $95 for the rears.

I paid $900 for pads and labor on my ML63. I know it's a different beast, but it should be relatively similar to a CLS63's brakes.

what does the sensor do for the rear brakes? How much for the front and rear rotor combo? I have 45K miles so I may need rotors as well

Thanks

Before you guys start going wild with non MB brake stuff, consider the sure way to get quality rotors which are Brembos and only available thru MB All other rotors are crap and not sure what metallurgy you get.

I had great sucess with the EBC red stuff on my Jag R type. Big improvement on the brake dust issue.

Having the 030 package and the upgraded front brakes, not sure if EBCs are the way to go. Does anyone have experience with non Brembos pads on the 030 package?

Did you have any squealing/squeaking issues with the EBCs on your Jag?

That is the one thing killing me on my 55...sounds like I'm rolling up in an old honda to the valet...can't stand the "AMG Squeal"

For non 030 owners, I would only suggest OEM or the evosport 2pc floating rotors...

for the 030 guys, OEM or Brembo...

The sensors are the wear indicator sensors.

for your 55, with the EBC redstuff, and OEM rotors would be $665 shipped anywhere in the connected USA.

Price above is for non 030 vehicles.
