How can I tell what color of black I have ?
Is there a way to tell what color black I have?

It recently came to my attention there's more than one type for 06.

Both Obsidian and Opal black.

Is there a way to visually tell?

Obsidian has a fine sparkle up close. Opal looks horrible IMHO. Basically opal black is blue if you ask me.......

And there's Jet Black...Correct? Black Opal is bluish, you'd know if you had that color fosho

I seem to have a metallic flake in mine. But VERY subdued.

Standing back from the car, I'd swear it was just jet black.

You will not see a single metallic flake in jet black. None.
It's just black.

If it doesnt look blueish and u have metallic flake then its obsidian black
