So...this has been happening for a while now, just haven't had the time to bring it in. Still under warranty, and I wanted everyone's opinion on here before I drove down to the stealership.

I could be anywhere, but as soon as I floor it, or accelerate fast where the RPM's are high, I get a very sulfur-like smell from I'm assuming the engine. It comes through the vents, or the windows if they are down. Smells much like rotten eggs.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Have you deleted your cats?

 

i think a bad catalytic converter causes that smell

 

Maybe the supercharger belt is slipping...

 

need new cats

What was the smell caused by?

 

I get the same smell immediately after wide-open-throttle on my 2003 E55. If anyone could shed some more light on this topic and possible cause, I would be greatly appreciative. That way I have some background before hitting the stealership for a fix. Thank you!
