HELP! Seriously considering a 2006 CLS55 today!
Picking up my 2005 E55 from the dealer today after some warranty work but have been watching this 2006 CLS55 sit on the lot for over 90 days now. Dealer must be getting itchy to move it soon. They're asking $53K. What do you think its worth? I want it for $40K OTD. Do you think dealer will budge or am I the low baller? Obviously nobody's going to buy it by now...
Just FYI, about 20 months ago I bought my 2005 E55 for $45k OTD. Asking was $62K. Same situation. Car was sitting on lot for over 90 days. They knew it wasn't going to move.

40k out the door maybe pushing it a lil... but at the end of the day go for it.... Its been sitting there for a while, +with car sales going down, dealer may be desperate and willling to take a loss.

So according to this, $40k is about $2k over black book for an equivalent mileage CLS55. I wasn't too far off then... You think they'll bite, I'll find out today.

I never made an offer. I was in such a rush to a dinner appointment I barely made it to the service center to pick up my car before they closed. I leave on a trip tomorrow so i might never know, unless its still there when i get back.

Is the car in HI? If so, it may rust out their before they sell it. Low ball it. It may be your lucky day. Go $40k.
