Your opinion on painting chrome strip to black

Your opinion on painting chrome strip to black..the one that runs on the rear on top of the license plate. My car is white and ill be painting the roof, front grill vents black to give it the black/white look...but I have been curious about the rear the chrome strip would you paint it black or leave it as is if you had a white CLS?

I'd match it black since you want the contrast look....consistency is key.

That said, I like the chrome details on white cars...on other colors i dislike chrome and prefer it blacked out...

Black since you are painting the other parts black. I've seen it on a couple of car and it does look good.

What about the exhaust tips? The chrome around the windows? All of the badges? Do your rims have a chrome or polished lip? IMO if you do the strip on the back you should do all the rest of it as well.

If you want to start blacking out everything and giving the car an aggressive look, you gotta get some aggressive wheels first.

While I see where your coming from as I rarely mod my vehicles, your point would be better made did you not have perf-killing 21" aftermarket rims.

My 20" wheels are lighter than stock and wider than stock what performance do they kill? Don't bother answering that, just please keep your cars stock before you hurt yourself.

Yeah! and my backside still hurts after our last battle

Just kidding, lol! Full Throttle is a really nice guy, and that totally caught me off guard last night when we ran into each other. He turns into a viking behind a PC. LOL!

I like the chrome strip better in the rear

He and i had a very nice chat. His show car is extremely well put together and clearly no expense was spared to get it right, respectable on every level. His car is a commanding presence in person, and pictures do not do his car any justice. Actually our views are similar when it comes to performance mods. Im still curious how you think lighter and wider wheels hurt a cars handling.
