Just getting back from Racing at Famoso. The price of the CLS/E55 headers are $3499. Remember if these headers and test pipes dont make 40 or more wheel HP over stock, send them back if you like.
Compared to Pulley and tune combos these headers alone will be right there when it comes to power gains. We had a set at Famoso to show the quality that goes into each header. I wanted to bring them so if anyone wanted to see them first hand could do so. Pics are worth 1000 world, but seeing them, touching them, is a whole other game.
No WTF
upon delivery. These will always have the best materials and craftsmanship in every set. Not to mention each set is inspected by me before its shipped or installed on a car. If I wouldn't put it on my car why would I want you?
I want people to get excited about modding again.

Question. My car sits pretty low (lowered via renntech with remote) and was curious if i will have clearance issues. I have read that one possible downfall to longtubes is a clearance issue. Can you comment on this? One thing i would hate is to purchase such a fine piece of engineering and crack it on a stupid bump or something of the sort. Please advise...

excellent! last question - when referring to the power being "top-end" does that mean more in the higher speeds? 80 to 120mph or upper rpm's? where is the peak power gain? thanks!

There is Power gains through out the RPM range. Huge power hits like a train at 4500RPMs. Just about assuring you wont spin the extra power away like you would if it was down low. Making it one of the most useful power adders ever seen for any AMG.
You can have all the power you want down low, but you may never be able to put it all to the ground. at 4500rpms you will put that power down and feel just about a night and day difference. Not only is this a great mod/first mod, but it will compliment other mods.
You should see a nice drop in boost while keeping Horse power up and some lower IAT's
Every time you hit the gas it will feel like hitting a 50 shot of nitrous after peak torque. With ZERO adverse effect that nitrous can have. If you have never felt that its a blast.

tests have not been done on a SL55. We do think they will fit, but without trying its only an educated guess. If they did fit they power gains would be the same. If someone in the Arizona area would be willing to let us test fit them. I would offer a smoking deal. If I was going to make a guess, I'm 80% sure they will fit. We wont know for sure until we try. I will make a post i the SL section offering the deal.

OMG why so expensive?Just because its made for a benz does not mean it has to be that much.Good gains thow.As a guy who has been around cars(verry fast cars,we own a drag racing shop)since i was a baby.50rwhp for a set of headers is just un heard of.Verry impresive gains.Just need to work on the price.

Trust me i know how you feel, however our options are limited at this current time. As these cars get cheaper and the entry price gets lower. More enthusiasts will be willing to buy and mod these cars which should up demand and lower the unit price. I said i would never pay that kind of money for a header but i took the plunge anyway.
