2007 CLS63 or 08 CLS550

Hello,

I am looking at buying a used 07 CLS63 or 08 CLS550 and would like to know if there are specific items that I should be concerned about regarding the CLS63? The trade off is one less year of manufacturer warranty versus more performance. For those of you who have or had the CLS63, was the added power really worthwhile (i.e. could you really tell day to day)

Regarding options, I was looking at getting one with P2, ipod, parktronic for the CLS63 and CLS550 with P2, AMG sport pkg, parktronic and ipod.

Thx.

you should really test drive both, answer will be apparent.

CLS63!

Hello,

I just joined the forum. I just picked up my certified preowned CLS63 AMG on Dec. 30, and I had the exact same dilemma!!

I was looking for an 08 CLS550 CPO car. I always liked the CLS63, and I found one that was certified pre-owned in mint condition. I couldn't help it, I had to have it, and I am SO incredibly glad I got this car instead of the CLS550!!

The car is absolutely beautiful. Manual mode takes your breath away.

So, that's my 2 cents.

2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
It would have to be a very mildly used CLS63 for me to sleep well at night. Lets just hope you don't end up with Juice's lol.

Where about are you located? I had the same dilemma. But ended up going with a CLS63, Black on Black, P2, parktronic, and trunk. I decided not to go with the Ipod as i use and iphone. and wanted to be able to listen to Pandora and stuff, so just going to use the Aux Jack.

To be honest I love the CLS63. If you have a wrench you trust go look at non CPO cars as well. You can still get an extended warranty on those as well. Although it will be almost 2x as much as getting a warranty on a CLS550.

I save a bundle on getting a non-CPO CLS63 and had it throughly looked though by a wrench. As for the dealers around me they are living in fantasy land about the value of their used car inventory. Especially CPO cars.

Same here

Same with me, PS2, AMG sport, Trunk and parktronic black on black. I use a Blackberry Bold with a 16 gb microSD card, and I have 2500 songs on it, so I am more than happy with the standard Aux jack. Also, the Blackberry has voice dialing, and it works through the car, so I have voice dialing through the car now.

I just got mine a few days ago. I'm loving this car. The CLS550 is a very nice car, and in reality, one can't go wrong. I'm just happy I went with this one.

I agree. The cls550 is a great car, but it's pretty obvious the cls63 is far more superior to the cls550.
