Are there any tuners that do actually raise redline?

Been looking, but I can't find anyone. brabus, kleeman, renntech, vath, and powerchips doesn't seem to do it. Doesn't seem like anyone does any chip modifications that actually raise redline? Seems that most just find ways to increase airflow and adjust the fuel map upwards a bit.

The cams and motor would obviously need to be built for a higher redline, but it could make things much more interesting for the hardcore tweakers (yeah...that means you you e-classers).

CLS55 plus a few Ducati's
Red line will be determined at the factory by a combination of engine gas flow parameters as well as the strength of the components. Not sure I would want to increase the redline without changing the rods, crank journals, valve springs etc.... You would have to have the ability to increase flow at higher revs as well so porting and polishing would be mandatory too... just my 1 c worth

Valve float is probably the greatest of concern, but I certainly don't mind swapping out to titanium pieces in the head.

The hard part is determining if there's a way to 'simply' increase the RPM map of the stock ECU which I haven't seen actually done outside of a standalone. Not sure if anyone knows if/how the BMW/Audi/Porsche guys do it.

The guys at Eurocharged raised the redline on my SRT-6 (read: SLK32) a few hundred RPMs while tuning. Contact them, I'm almost positive they could do it...can't say for sure as my CLS55 knowledge is minimal.

Not sure why you would want to raise the redline, even on a modded motor.
Merc motors are not designed as high rpm power producers.
Power band is typically much lower then a BMW M motor.

Contact Dino @ Veloce Performance who is a sponsor.
Veloce writes it's own tune and you can install via a computer download to your OBDII port.

You can mention my name to Dino.
Used their tune on my G55K and very satisfied.

We will raise the red line by a few hundred RPM by request.
