cracked windsheild
I have the worst luck when it comes to windshields! just got wacked by a rock on the freeway, it spread about 6 inches so far. Same thing happened on my W210 last year and my old civic. 
Time for a new one, anyone got any suggestions?

Mine is cracked too. went through insurance. MB wants $700 for the glass + 220 or so for installation who they use a 3rd party for. Don't know if there's a cheaper way to get the same quality/brand glass.
I heard a lot of the cheaper windshield places use cheaper chinese-manufactured replacement glass that are softer and will get pitted easier after just a couple years.
Anyone know the brand of glass for OEM MB windshields or a good place to get them?

Mine got smashed on the freeway this afternoon...huge faceted pattern little bigger than the size of a golf ball in the passenger's vision. Not going to be some simple fill job. There are actual chunks missing on the outer surface.
It was very loud sound; never saw the projectile that hit it. Maybe a stray bullet
MB must have some contracts out for glass replacement

You can too if ur deductable is not higher then your damage then it makes sense to go thru Insurance but u already know what to do..
