... this is 390 vs 360 mm , not the first 380mm 030 upgrade

so, not exactly:
a few ponts:
- those disks are original.
- car with 390mm is special installation. usually 390mm goes into cls63 with 6 piston calipers, while our 8piston caliper goes with 380mm.
- using same caliper you may have problems in that it ocntacts with wheel drum or spokes ..
- caliper is the same as for 360mm, BUT bracket is different.
btw, after studying all this, I am now going with real carbon SLR disks ..

ideal for me would be 370mm diameter (as the first slr) as it s not needed larger and it would just grow in weight ..
I already have a pair .. working on them (they weigh 6150gr each, hat included)
nonetheless, love also the look of new slr722 brakes in 390mm and 6 pistons...

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
p030 above appears a 380mm rotor & 20" wheel.
ps: about carbon rotor I was wrong. weird but the 390mm weighs less than the 370mm ! .. just got it at hand and it is 5750gr.
I was interested in something lightweight and ... exotic enough

unfortunately when you go larger in dia, even with 2-pieces rotors, you get back nearly the same weight as stock 360mm disks, i.e. 15.6kgs ..
from this point of view, a good choice is CLS63 stock rotors which are 360mm but in 2-pieces

as I told before, I decided to worry only for carbon-silicon carbide.
now I'll play with these :

I have both 390 from 722 and 370 from slr : they are different produce/tecnology and that explains difference in weight.
must think about it .. maybe I'll end up putting 370mm on the rear. need to do custom support/brakets .. depends on my tech.
